Established in 1997, Sierra Drifters is the pioneering guide service to offer drift boat trips down the Lower Owens River. We are without question the most experienced guide service to offer these trips. We will outfit you with all the necessary fishing equipment needed for your trip. We get you into the least accessible areas by the general public that have the best fishing. You need only supply a current fishing license and your personal gear.

Center Console Bay Boats

Want to solve the fly fishing mysteries of Crowley Lake,Bridgeport Reservoir, and Eagle Lake? Charter one or more of our 20′ to 24′ custom bay boats to access these trophy trout still waters filled with rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout. Whatever your pleasure, we can create a great fishing adventure for 1-3 anglers per boat. Our bay boats can accommodate corporate or large groups in style and are by far and away the finest guide boats in the Eastern Sierra! The lakes open up to fishing the last Saturday in April each season, and boating access ends on October 31st. We typically fish Eagle Lake during the month of June.

Walk and Wade Fishing

We fish the most productive rivers and creeks the Eastern Sierra has to offer throughout the year. The “Wild Trout” section of the Lower Owens River, Hot Creek, Upper Owens River, San Joaquin River, and West and East Walker Rivers are fished during the general trout season. The East Walker River, Hot Creek, Upper Owens River, and Lower Owens can be fished all year long. Some large trophy trout up to the 25″ mark have been caught out of these waters on a regular basis. Wade fishing trips are very popular among our customers as they present anglers with the opportunity to employ many different techniques of fly fishing.
